We've also put together some Atlanta,
GA employment resources (see box below, right). But
now for some alternative thinking. And it's simple
logic really. A good resume writer, like any other professional
today, is connected. Specifically, connected to the Web. In
fact, you may be surprised at how many are conducting their
business over the Internet. With that being the case, there's
no need to tether yourself only to writers with a
physical presence in Atlanta.
An Atlanta Resume Service - Or
An Online Alternative?
Each day that passes, there's ever increasing odds that
your ideal resume writer, a certified writer with
a work history in your very industry, might
be living in Nashville or Chicago or New
York – and not Atlanta, Georgia. What if we told
you that you could access that writer with a few clicks of a
mouse? And that the entire transaction could be handled by
phone, email and fax?
Atlanta, You're Going To Love What
We've Done
We've taken 10 of the most popular Resume Writing
Services on the Web and put them through their
paces. These are companies that collectively employ hundreds
of professional writers covering a broad spectrum of
industries and occupations. We wrote in-depth reviews for
each resume service, and gave them star ratings based on the
following:
|
» Writer
Certification
» Price and
Value
|
» Quality of
Workmanship
» Personal
Attention
|
» Satisfaction
Guarantee
» Timeliness
|
Pricing for these 10 Resume Services range from
$89 to $249 for a mid-level professional. Prices at the
higher range reflect an actual interview with you over
the phone to discuss your work history, and 2-3 hours of
work by your writer to craft a resume that will get
results.
I'll be honest; although each was popular, not every service
rated the same. In fact, the ratings range from 5 stars to a
single star. You'll find that our 5-star "Top Picks" offer
the most value and service.
[Note: If you're pressed for time, you might like to know
that ResumeWriters.com
received our highest rating. With certified writers
specializing in 5 dozen career fields, this company has been
delivering a 99.98% customer satisfaction rating since 1998.
Plus, they've got one of the strongest guarantees in the
industry... if you haven't gotten interviews within 60
days, they'll re-write your resume at no
charge. You can even choose to work with a new
writer for a totally fresh take on your resume. That cinched
the deal with us.]
All of this, and no Road Rage on
the 401!
Visit our home page, Review of Resume Writers, and
judge for yourself. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised
at your options. If not, well, you can always fire up the
car and strike out in search of a local firm. Either way,
best of luck in your job search.

↓ "Several major national
and international companies are
headquartered in Atlanta or its nearby
suburbs, including three Fortune 100
companies: The Coca-Cola Company, Home
Depot, and United Parcel Service in adjacent
Sandy Springs. The headquarters of AT&T
Mobility (formerly Cingular Wireless), the
second largest mobile phone service provider
in the United States, is located near Lenox
Square. Newell Rubbermaid is one of the most
recent companies to relocate to the metro
area; in October 2006, it announced plans to
move its headquarters to Sandy Springs.
Other headquarters for some major companies
in Atlanta and around the metro area include
Arby's, Chick-fil-A, Earthlink, Equifax,
Gentiva Health Services, Georgia-Pacific,
Oxford Industries, RaceTrac Petroleum,
Southern Company, SunTrust Banks, Mirant,
and Waffle House. In early June 2009, NCR
Corporation announced that they will
relocate its headquarters to the nearby
suburb of Duluth, Georgia. First Data is
also a large corporation who announced in
August 2009 that they would move its
headquarters to Sandy Springs. Over 75% of
the Fortune 1000 companies have a presence
in the Atlanta area, and the region hosts
offices of about 1,250 multinational
corporations. As of 2006 Atlanta
Metropolitan Area ranks as the 10th largest
cybercity (high-tech center) in the US, with
126,700 high-tech jobs.
Delta Air Lines is the city's largest
employer and the metro area's third largest.
Delta operates one of the world's largest
airline hubs at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta
International Airport and, together with the
hub of competing carrier AirTran Airways, has
helped make Hartsfield-Jackson the world's
busiest airport, both in terms of passenger
traffic and aircraft operations. The airport,
since its construction in the 1950s, has served
as a key engine of Atlanta's economic
growth.
