We've also put together some Columbus employment
resources (see box below). But first, should you consider an
online resume services? Well, consider this. A good
resume writer, like any other professional today, is connected.
Specifically, connected to the Web. In fact, you may
be surprised at how many are conducting their business
over the Internet. With that being the case, there's no
need to tether yourself only to writers with a
physical presence in Columbus.
Columbus Resume Service - Or An
Online Alternative?
Given the explosion in the growth of resume services,
there's ever increasing odds that your ideal resume
writer, a certified writer with a work
history in your very industry, might just
be living in Cleveland, Buffalo or Omaha --
and not Cleveland. Not to worry. You can access that
writer with a few clicks of a mouse. And the entire transaction
can be handled by phone, email and fax.
Columbus, You're Going To Love
What We've Done
We've taken 10 of the most popular Resume Writing
Services on the Web and put them through their
paces. These are companies that collectively employ hundreds
of professional writers covering a broad spectrum of
industries and occupations. We wrote in-depth reviews for
each resume service, and gave them star ratings based on the
following:
- Writer Certification
- Price and Value
|
- Quality of Workmanship
- Personal Attention
|
- Satisfaction Guarantee
- Timeliness
|
The resume services that we
identified have prices ranging from $89 to $249 for a
mid-level professional. Those prices at the higher end of
the scale reflect an actual interview with you over the
phone to discuss your work history, and 2-3 hours of work by
your writer to craft a resume that will get results.
I'll be honest; although each was popular, not every service
rated the same. In fact, the ratings range from 5 stars to a
single star. You'll find that our 5-star "Top Picks" offer
the most value and service.
[Note: If you're pressed for time, you might like to know
that ResumeWriters.com
received our highest rating. With certified writers
specializing in 5 dozen career fields, this company has been
delivering a 99.98% customer satisfaction rating since 1998.
Plus, they've got one of the strongest guarantees in the
industry... if you haven't gotten interviews within 60
days, they'll re-write your resume at no
charge. You can even choose to work with a new
writer for a totally fresh take on your resume. That cinched
the deal with us.]
All of this, and no Road Rage on
The Split!
Visit our home page, Review of Resume Writers, and judge
for yourself. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. If
not, well, you can always fire up the car and strike out
on I-670 in search of a local firm. Either way, I
wish you the best of luck in your job search.

↓ Columbus has a
generally strong and diverse economy. Market
Watch ranked Columbus and their metro area
as the #7 best place in the country to
operate a business in 2008. In 2008, Ohio
was ranked #5 in the nation for headquarters
of Fortune 500 companies, with Columbus home
to the most in the state. In 2007, the city
was ranked #3 in the United States by fDi
magazine for "Cities of the Future", and #4
for most business-friendly in the country.
Columbus was ranked as the seventh strongest
economy in the United States in 2006, and
the best in Ohio, according to Policom
Corp.
During the recession of 2008-2009,
Columbus's economy was not impacted as much as
the rest of the country based on decades of
diversification work by long-time corporate
residents, business leaders, and past political
leaders. The current administration of Michael
B. Coleman has continued the work, although the
city faced financial turmoil and had to
increase taxes, due in part to alleged fiscal
mismanagement. As Columbus is the state
capital, there is a large government presence
in the city. Including city, county, state, and
federal employers, government jobs provide the
largest single source of employment within
Columbus. [more, including major employers, via
