...you may be missing something.
Did you know there are online alternatives?
Yes, there are a number of good resume services
in Chicago. But it does requires driving to get to one.
And they may have office hours that don't jibe with yours.
And how do you decide which one?
If you're just starting to look for a resume writing
service, take a moment to think about the following: a good
resume writer, like any other professional today, is connected.
Specifically, connected to the Web. In fact, you might
be surprised at just how many are conducting their
business over the Internet. With that being the case, why
tether yourself only to writers with a physical
presence in Chicago?
Chicago, You've Got
Choices
There's an ever increasing chance that your ideal
resume writer, a professional certified resume writer
with a work history in your very industry, might
be living in St. Louis or Memphis
or Boston. What if I told you that you could access that
writer with the click of a mouse? And that the entire
transaction could be handled by phone, email and fax – that
you'd never have to step inside an office?
Chicago, You're Going To Love What
We've Done
We've taken 10 of the most popular Resume Writing
Services on the Web and put them through their
paces. These are companies that collectively employ hundreds
of professional writers covering a broad spectrum of
industries and occupations. We wrote in-depth reviews for
each resume service, and gave them star ratings based on the
following:
- Writer Certification
- Price and Value
|
- Quality of Workmanship
- Personal Attention
|
- Satisfaction Guarantee
- Timeliness
|
Pricing for these 10 Resume Services range from $89
to $249 for a mid-level professional. Prices at the higher
range reflect an actual interview with you over the phone to
discuss your work history, and 2-3 hours of work by your
writer to craft a resume that will get results.
I'll be honest; although each was popular, not every service
rated the same. In fact, the ratings range from 5 stars to a
single star. You'll find that our 5-star "Top Picks" offer
the most value and service.
[Note: If you're pressed for time, you might like to know
that ResumeWriters.com
received our highest rating. With certified writers
specializing in 5 dozen career fields, this company has been
delivering a 99.98% customer satisfaction rating since 1998.
Plus, they've got one of the strongest guarantees in the
industry... if you haven't gotten interviews within 60
days, they'll re-write your resume at no
charge. You can even choose to work with a new
writer for a totally fresh take on your resume. That cinched
the deal with us.]
All of this, and no Dan Ryan
Expressway!
Visit our home page, Review of Resume Writers, and judge
for yourself. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. If
not, well, you can always fire up the car and strike out on
the Eisenhower for a local firm. Either way, I wish you
the best of luck in your job search.

Chicago is a major world financial center,
with the second largest central business
district in the U.S. The city is the
headquarters of the Federal Reserve Bank of
Chicago (the Seventh District of the Federal
Reserve). The city is also home to three major
financial and futures exchanges, including the
Chicago Stock Exchange, the Chicago Board
Options Exchange (CBOE), and the Chicago
Mercantile Exchange (the "Merc"), which
includes the former Chicago Board of Trade
(CBOT). Perhaps due to the influence of the
Chicago school of economics, the city also has
markets trading unusual contracts such as
emissions (on the Chicago Climate Exchange) and
equity style indices (on the U.S. Futures
Exchange).
The city and its surrounding metropolitan
area are home to the second largest labor pool
in the United States with approximately 4.25
million workers.
Manufacturing, printing, publishing and food
processing also play major roles in the city's
economy. Several medical products and services
companies are headquartered in the Chicago
area, including Baxter International, Abbott
Laboratories, and the Healthcare Financial
Services division of General Electric.
