By David Alan Carter

Online since 1998, ResumeEdge.com is the chosen resume partner for Yahoo! HotJobs, Dice.com, the Wall Street Journal's CareerJournal.com, as well as numerous other high-profile career services providers. Not to mention the U.S. Air Force.

With over 250 resume writers and career coaches specializing in 40 different industries, Resume Edge is one of the leading resume writing and editing services online. Indeed, they've written more than 100,000 resumes over the years. And through it all, they've maintained a 98% satisfaction rating with their clients. How? Three reasons that we can see: 1) competent writers who take pride in what they do, 2) attentive customer service, 3) resumes that deliver results.

Here's How It Works

Select the resume writing service that best fits your experience level (student and entry-level at $179.95, professional at $249.95, or executive at $359.95). Note: these prices are for a resume built from scratch. If you have an existing resume that is simply not generating results, you'll be looking at their resume editing service -- and a savings of $20 to $30 depending on your experience level.

Visit... Resume Edge.comPay online for the service, complete the Resume Edge exclusive questionnaire detailing your strengths and accomplishments, and upload your existing resume, if you have one. A certified writer in your specialty area will contact you to arrange and conduct a personal phone interview.

The resume is prepared within 48 to 72 hours after assignment to your writer. Your order is delivered in Microsoft Word format, and accessible via the Resume Edge customer control panel. For no additional charge, receive an ASCII version of your resume, as well as a Web resume at WebResume.com.

After your resume has been delivered, you have 7 days to continue working with your writer one-on-one, via phone and email, if there is a need for any changes or corrections.

Here's What We Liked

  • ResumeEdge.com Review | TestimonialsThey use Certified Professional Resume Writers, as you would expect for service at this caliber, employing a network of over 250 writers throughout the country. But they don't stop with certification. To work for this company, each writer must get through the firm's ultra strict hiring process. Only 1 in 100 applicants succeeds.
  • One-on-one is in their DNA. The telephone interview is an integral part of their business model, something for which we give high marks.
  • Option to select your resume's design from their extensive gallery, or have your writer determine the layout best suited to your experience and goals.
  • The resumes are keyword optimized for easy scanning by potential employers and online searchers.
  • Free ASCII version of the resume, in addition to the standard Microsoft Word format.
  • Sample resumes are available on the web site to give you an idea of the quality of writing. We liked what we saw.
  • Good rating by the Better Business Bureau. The parent company, Peterson's Nelnet LLC, has been an accredited business since 2008, and the BBB gives the company an A rating.
  • Pricing is reasonable and spelled out in detail on their website.

Resume Edge Review  - The Wrap Up

In summary, you've got to appreciate the fact that the venerable and highly selective Wall Street Journal gave these resume writers the nod and partnered with them on their online publication CareerJournal.com. That speaks volumes, as does the 98% customer satisfaction rate. Not to mention the A rating by the BBB, something that should give prospective customers comfort.

We believe they deliver a top-notch product, excellent customer service and solid value. And we deliver a top rating, and have no problem recommending this service.

$100 teaser
Teaser from Los Angeles
I used resume edge for the first time a few years ago.
Back then I was very satisfied.
Last weekend I decided to have a critique of my resume.
Unfortunately it was not worth what I paid.
I contacted Resume Edge and they insisted that the critique was according to their standards.
I will use another o the services listed here.
