While we have some concerns (see below), ResumeServiceInc.com achieved a 3-star rating for primarily two reasons: the quality of their writing is quite good, and their pricing offers good value for workmanship at this level.

So if you've got a resume that's simply not working, get it evaluated before spending a dime on a new one.

Equally rare: a guarantee of interviews and money-back if you don't get one within 60 days. For this, and the reasons mentioned above, the company claims to enjoy a 99% customer satisfaction rate. 

Here's How It Works

Determine your level of experience: entry level (4 years or less), professional (4+ years experience), executive (CEOs, VPs, etc.), or Federal (military transition, government). There's a page for each, with upfront pricing and packages (i.e. resume alone, resume with cover letter, resume with cover and thank you, etc.). 

Pick your product, click the "Buy Now" button and follow the instructions to purchase. Or, use your phone to place an order through their toll-free number.

You'll be asked to complete an online questionnaire and upload/fax an existing resume, if available. Expect to receive a call from your resume writer, who will arrange a consultation to gather more information.

You'll receive a draft of your new resume within 48-72 hours. Once it meets you approval, you'll get the final resume in three distribution formats: MS Word, PDF and ASCII. Every order includes unlimited revisions for 60 days, and lifetime database storage.  

Here's What We Liked

• All writers hold certification. Here's What We Didn't Like

Some customers have reported difficulty arranging a consultation with their assigned writer, and longer-than-reasonable delays in the company returning phone calls and emails. This is an especially sensitive area since most clients are unemployed or otherwise dealing with a high level of stress in their professional lives, and a higher level of customer service from resume providers should be the norm.

We are attracted to quality writing - first and foremost. If the samples posted on their website are any indication, we like what we see. Other pros: very reasonable pricing, two months of one-on-one service with each resume package ordered, and a money-back guarantee of interviews. While customer service response times hurt our overall view, and we remain concerned going forward, we still think the company deserves a look -- especially for those job seekers working with a tight budget.
